The Easiest Solution to Start Touring

Daymakers easily convert any standard downhill ski setup into a powder chasing alpine touring rig in a matter of seconds. Simply attach climbing skins to your skis, clip the Daymakers onto your boots, step into your skis, and begin touring.

Ascend confidently with Daymakers stable and torsionally rigid design. Once you reach the goods, Daymakers can be stepped out of with a flick of your pole and the flat, low profile design stores unobtrusively in your backpack for the ski down.

4Bar Tech - Smooth walking WITHOUT a walk-mode boot.

The revolutionary 4 Bar Tech hinge creates the most natural stride in all of ski touring by replacing the single pivot point of other touring bindings with a linkage-driven virtual pivot that rotates directly under the balls of your feet. This unlocks the range of motion to tour comfortably and effectively in boots with or without walk modes.Since the rotation to walk comes from the linkage, you do not need tech fittings in your boots to tour with Daymakers!

On flat terrain like approaches, ridge lines, or even mellow descents, the -3° neutral stance of the Daymakers counters the forward lean built into boots and bindings for a comfortable, upright stance, even with non walk-mode boots. When the going gets steeper there are 7° and 12.5° elevators that can be quickly deployed with your hand or ski pole using the Easy Levers.

So much versatility

How nice it is to be able to use these with regular bindings and boots. Had a nice uphill climb with them, no complaints!

Cheap, easy touring for the resort skier

Daymaker creating an option to use your alpine skis/boots in the back country is one of the best ideas I’ve seen. Truly one of the most innovative pieces of equipment on the market. This option is so much more feasible than trying to buy a backcountry/resort “adaptive” binding like the salomon shifts which turns out to be insufficient on both fronts in my eyes. Giray and Chris are incredibly nice and talked to me directly about my order. I went out on the daymakers for the first time just the other day and they were awesome. Need to get used to them, and it’s obviously a heavier setup, but I’m stoked on my entire experience so far.

Great way to get into backcountry skiing

Chris at Daymaker is incredibly helpful in making sure the daymaker and skins work with our current set up. My 15 year old and 10 year old are able to join me back country skiing and the Daymakers can grow when my kids grow and size up in skies and boots. I was surprised that my 15 year old can switch from uphill mode to downhill mode just as fast as I can in my AT set up.

A great option for those who need it

Background: 39M, advanced skier, 30-60 days/season. I have deformed feet and require custom boots to address canting for severe pronation. As such, I do not have an option to use boots with tech toes which limits my options for touring to frame bindings or these DayMaker classics. I have both and compared to frame bindings, these are the superior option. The motion of movement is easier with the Daymakers due to the position of the toepiece portion relative to frame bindings which pivot superiorly to the binding itself. The downside of the Daymakers is that you are a bit higher above the binding and this added height takes a little getting used to. That being said, this allows you not to have to do any modification to your boots or skis. Yes, you have to throw these in your backpack on the way down - not a big deal for someone like myself who is not doing intense tours. In summary, if you are looking to get into touring, this is a great, affordable option to do so.
